Farm Sanctuary's Farm Animal Forum Comes to San Francisco for Activist Conference and "Veggie Day in the Park"

San Francisco, CA - March 20, 2006 - Farm Sanctuary, the nation's leading farm animal shelter and advocacy organization, is hosting its Farm Animal Forum in San Francisco. Noted speakers in the animal protection movement will discuss factory farming issues, current campaigns and how to take action. The following day, Farm Sanctuary will hold a special "Veggie Day in the Park," a free event at Mission Dolores Park with entertainment, vegetarian food samples and kids' activities.

Media are invited to attend the Forum and "Veggie Day in the Park." Speakers at the forefront of today's farm animal protection movement who will be at the Forum include Gene Baur (formerly Bauston), President of Farm Sanctuary; Karen Dawn, founder of DawnWatch.com; Joyce D'Silva, ambassador for Compassion in World Farming; Bruce Friedrich, director of farmed animal and vegan campaigns for PETA; Matt Gonzalez, former president of San Francisco's Board of Supervisors, attorney and activist; and Howard Lyman, president of Voice for a Viable Future and author of Mad Cowboy.
