Groundbreaking Work in Farm Animal Rescue, Education and Advocacy Honored at Star-Filled Event in Hollywood Hills

Watkins Glen, NY - August 18, 2006 - On Saturday, August 26, 2006, Farm Sanctuary, the nation's leading farm animal protection organization, will host an evening of cocktails and delectable vegan hors d'oeuvres with some of Hollywood's finest farm animal-loving celebrities in beautiful Hollywood Hills. The Hollywood Party for the Animals will honor and celebrate Farm Sanctuary's 20 years of tireless work to end the suffering of farm animals in the United States. Twenty years ago, Farm Sanctuary was a fledgling group consisting of a few people dedicated to the rescue of downed and suffering animals from stockyards and farms. Today, the organization is more than 150,000 strong, and growing.

Special guests slated to attend this event include David Boreanaz, Thora Birch, Kelly Bishop, Rebecca De Mornay, Lisa Edelstein, Dennis Erdman, Corey Feldman, John Feldmann, Dave Foley, Kevin Nealon, Cassandra Peterson, James Reynolds, Matthew Scully, Darren Star, Loretta Swit, Steve Valentine, Joan van Ark, Persia White, Kelli Williams, Debra Wilson Skelton, Gretchen Wyler, and Bob Zmuda. Surrounded by Griffith Park in Hollywood Hills, guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres provided by El Burrito, Follow Your Heart, Frey Vineyards, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Leaf Cuisine, Lolonis Winery, Native Foods, One World Vegetarian Cuisine, Taste of Goddess Café, Truly Vegan Restaurant, and Vegan Glory.
