NYC Outreach Intern
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist with restaurant and supermarket outreach, including letter-writing and follow-ups
- Assist with literature distribution to various establishments throughout the city
- Help maintain database of members, volunteers, and establishments
- Maintain activist log
- Research tabling opportunities and help coordinate the events
- Provide general support to the NYC Campaign Department
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of animal protection issues
- Commitment to Farm Sanctuary's goals and programs
- Strong work ethic and ability to self-start
- Comfortable working with the public
- Sense of humor and of self
Specifications:
- Must commit to either 20 or 40 hours per week
- One to three month commitment required
- Will work partly from home and partly from our office in Soho.
