CA and NY Pignics - An Independence Day for Farm Animals
Celebrate Independence Day with a barbeque that promotes life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for farm animals. Complete with cruelty-free veggie dogs and other vegan food, this festive event provides compassionate entertainment and free tours of the California and New YorkShelters. Guided tours will be offered every hour, on the hour, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Camp Sanctuary
Have a one-of-a-kind experience at the very first Camp Sanctuary. This summer program for girls ages 14 to 18 is sure to be the highlight of your summer. Campers will develop unforgettable bonds with the loving animals that reside at Farm Sanctuary, make a direct difference at our New York Shelter through hands-on volunteer work, and meet new friends who care about animals. Camp Sanctuary will include service projects, presentations, field trips, and vegan meals. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call 607-583-2225 to be added to the waiting list.

August 1 and 2, 2009
NY Country Hoe Down
Don’t miss out on this popular sanctuary event. The Country Hoe Down weekend is an excellent chance to catch up with old friends and meet new ones, while learning about important animal protection issues. Also included among the event’s festivities are hayrides around the shelter, a chance to connect with the sanctuary animals, a Saturday night barn dance, delicious vegan meals, and free camping on the shelter grounds. Walk for Farm Animals
Every fall, farm animal advocates around the country and into Canada lace up their sneakers and take to the streets with a message of compassion for farm animals. The 2008 Walk was our most successful one so far thanks to caring individual such as you! Help keep the momentum going and participate in a walkathon in your hometown or organize your own. NY Farm Animal Care Conference
Learn how to start and operate your very own shelter for farm animals at this intensive weekend workshop. Farm Sanctuary staff will share more than 20 years of experience operating the country’s largest farm animal shelter, providing in depth information on fundraising, program administration, animal care, and day-to-day operation of a nonprofit sanctuary. November 21, 2009
NY and CA Thanksgiving Celebration FOR the Turkeys
Give the turkeys at Farm Sanctuary something to be thankful for by joining them at this year’s Celebration FOR the Turkeys, where our feathered friends are the guests of honor. Event participants will enjoy riveting speaker presentations, mouth-watering vegan meals, and our very special Feeding of the Turkeys Ceremony, where the birds feast on stuffed squash, pumpkin pie and cranberries.
